I have a 19" TFT (Viewsonic VX912B) capable of 1280x1024.

I only use PC for games, porn and browsing (and in that order).

I have a 4800+ X2 watercooled @ 2.8ghz, 2GB Ballistix, Raptor, BFG 7800gtx OC etc. I love to max out everything on all games and obviously I always want 80+ fps.

Im very tempted by the new GX2 as I know that will make me weak at the knees but Will it be completely wasted in my system with my res?

I may also be tempted to look at a 20" Widescreen instead of this TFT but I feel 24" is overkill.

What would you do?

I play:
FEAR, BF2, HL2DM mostly...

If you're considering such an expensive graphics card, you might as well also go up to 24"

I know what you mean but I know what PC technology is like. Surely with a 24" I'll have to constantly keep upgrading new parts when the new games come out. I was hoping to slow down the upgrade bug / disease / illness.

Maybe a 20" and a GX2?
