Hey guys,

My sapphire 7950 can get an average of 45 FPS on most games but I have found in certain scenarios I see frame drops. On tomb raider in cinematics where it pans out you will see 20 FPS and then 60 again when it pans back. Do you think that these frame drops are because of me playing on a tv with vsync?

Secondly I guess an OC with afterburner may get rid of this lag. I want to know what values I should put into it and what ones I should decrease for better stability. Sorry about title it posted before I could change it.

i'de bang a few more details up m8, whats the rest of your system, what drivers your using, what games you play etc. :)
 
Okay, then the likely issue is the boosting. Is 950Mhz the speed it boosts too? If so, clock it to say 1000Mhz and have a run through of some games.

That'll override the boost and show whether that's causing the issue or not.
 
Leave the fan speed on auto, it's only a small increase, and leave the memory for now.

This isn't a test to see if overclocking fixes it, it's a test to see if overriding the boost clocks fixes the issue, as some boosting cards seem to have issues with fluctuating clockspeed which would explain the yo-yo effect on your FPS.
