7950 or 670

Hi All,

I'm having to get a new build because the last one was jinxed with loadsa troubles but I'm still unsure about a gfx card and I'm stuck between the Gigabyte Windforce 3x 670 & Gigabyte Windforce 3x 7950 or even Gigabyte Windforce 3x 7970.

I have read in a number of posts about driver issues with 7950/70's which has put me off some what though I would be glad of saving some cash and having a 7950.

Are the current 7950/70's over the troubles I have read about?

I'm ordering new rig in a couple of days.

AMD have been releasing Beta drivers for the last so many months. Then have recently released the 13.01 drivers which are now not in beta. Most people have been using the Beta drivers due to big performance gains in BF3 and FC3.

My point is now the good divers are out of Beta there is less driver problems, so don't worry about it.

It would be silly not to go 7950. You could even get another in a month for future proofing

Save the cash and get a 7950. When both are overclocked the 7950 can be marginally faster on bandwidth limited games. At worst it'll be even with a 670.

Thanks I think I'll go with the 7950 and save money or maybe pay for a couple more fans in the case to keep the temps nice and low.
