Im wondering how the power consumption scales. Im looking for an answer to if 1 7950@stock@100% load is going to use less or more power than 2x7950 crossfired@stock@50% load. If the scaling is linear its about the same one would think. But something tells me this is not the case. Reason for this thought is the much higher watt drawn by simply OCing your card with a measly 0.1 volt on top. Do anyone have any data on this? perhaps some threads or benchmarks to point to?

Maybe he means by using two cards and undervolting/clocking them both running at 50%..

No thats not what i mean. Guess i wasnt very clear, sorry about that. Some of the games i play dont really scale to good all the time on my crossfire system. Also most of those games dont need 2x7950s to power them above 60-120fps. Also i dont care if i can reach 180 fps in BF3 if i most of the time hover around 100 with pitfalls to 50-55. I get 50-55 min frames on 1 Card as well so im considering removing one Card and selling it as it seems overkill at this point. Some of the worst case scenarios has been 50% gpu scaling on each gpu in CPU bottleneck scenarios.
