7950 PSU question

Bought a 7950 for playing Elite Dangerous the other day. Arrived this morning.

I only thought about PSU from the point of view of wattage not connectors, I've just had a quick look at the MSI 7950 and it needs 1x 8 pin & 1x 6 pin. My PSU, a Corsair HX620W only offers a 2X 6 pin (the 8 pin is for the M/B and in use).

Can you get adaptors that change 6 to 8 pins?

If not I guess my choices are limited

1. New PSU.
2. Ask OCUK nicely if they will take the card back and see if I can get one which doesn't need 8 pin.

Just checked order history on OCUK and the PSU was bought in Jan 2007. So it's quite old and it gets used at least 2-3 hours each day and probably more in the early days when I played more games.

Any advice from those more expert than I (most of you) would be appreciated.

Ah thanks. I did have a quick look through cabling but because I didn't know what I was looking for I missed that.

Thought there must be a simple solution.

You'll need to get a dual molex to 8pin adapter, "Dual Molex LP4 4 pin to 8 pin PCI-E Express Converter Adapter Power Cable" should do the trick ;)

Also that 8 pin is for CPU and shouldn't be used for a graphics card anyway, a PCIe 8 pin connector is 6+2 like so

Edit: Nevermind what RJC posted is probably better I guess, much simpler :)
