How do I determine if my MSI 7950 OC BE is a reference design?

I'm looking at backplates and heard that even the 7970 and 7990 reference designs will match the 7950 reference design for mounting points? Not sure how accurate that is... Wondering if this'll fit my 7950?

Is there a definitive list of reference and non-reference cards?
 
Yeah, the only problem is - it only lists their products! ;)

Thanks anyway, I had used it before but not spotted that it lists reference.

I understand the 7950's where mostly non-reference boards, but the 7970's mostly where (AMD's stipulation), so the fact the 7970 parts are listed as compatible means my 7950 is reference and will also fit 7970 reference backplates. Longwinded but kinda makes sense lol ;)
 
That 7990 backplate linked in the OP certainly won't fit. That card is a lot bigger than a 7950/70.

A 7970 backplate *may* fit, but the 7950 ref pcb looks to have different mounting points - especially around the vrm area.

Have a look at the holes and see what matches up on both cards.

Also, do the 4 screws around the core fit flush on your card, or is there a raised bracket/brace there?

ED: If it's just for aesthetic purposes, you could just use a bit of double sided tape and plonk a 7970 backplate on there.

Hi guys sorry for the delay...

I now have 2 7950's, an MSI 7950 OC BE and an MSI 7950 OC TFIII (which I believe is a BE too?!)

The holes are different on both cards, apologies for the quality of the image (I'll take a better one at some point... Or photocopy my cards) ;)
