Going from a 7950 to a 680 is silly though, I've owned a 7970 and a 680 and you can't tell the difference other than a few games run smoother on one or the other.

Not faster than an OC 680. At least at 1080p.
A clocked 7950 is around 5-10% slower than a clocked 680.
i.e. there ain't no difference to the naked eye.
If you're struggling with performance add another cheap 7950 and you're set for a long time.
Yes... A 7950 is only 4-6% slower then a 7970 when running at the same clocks and a clocked 7970 bashes a 680.....
