Hey, guys ive done a volt mod on my 7950 to get a little extra power since my card was locked, the mod i did doesnt show higher volts in gpuz though, so i was just hoping someone knows where i can pick up the gpu volts on the pcb so i can see what im actuallly running at, dont wanna fry the card too quickly ;)

cheers.

Have you tried checking using afterburner. That normally shows you readings for core and men volts on your card

Yeah i tried in there also, its showing me the standard voltage it should be running at, but the actual voltage going to the gpu will be scaled up slightly from that. Without knowing where to read the volts going to the GPU i dont wanna turn down the resistance too much cause it might be scaling up quite dramatically.

I havent done any volt mods in years so im a bit behind the times on the places to go looking for advice on them. I think the last card i volt modded was a radeon 9800 thats showing my years a bit.

Is it a 7950 or 7970 pcb? As the 7970 vcheck points are posted around the net, I'd imagine 7950 pcb vcheck is in a similar place.

Well done for having the stones to mod it too, look forward to your results.

Anyone else running these cards or 7970s tried raising the mem voltage yet? i just popped mine upto 1.65 to see what difference it would make and it allowed me to go from 1775 to 1900mhz before it started crashing in heaven. Core was set well low so it will by no means work once i raise the core mhz up again but quite interesting how it shoots up so easily this mem.
