I have stretched my budget to the absolute max. Now I can afford one of the <£300 670's, but my case already runs quite warm and im worried the cooling the cheaper 670s provide wont be enough compared to what the 7950s can provide at a similar budget. Should the 670 be able to keep itself cool enough? Or should I stick to the 7950?

Ok not great with this sort of stuff I was going on the fact that the twin frozr has 2 fans, compared to the 670 which only has 1.

So I guess temps shouldn't be the deciding factor between these cards.

Bear in mind the MSI 7950 is also stock overclocked by 80-100Mhz, meaning comparatively to the anandtech benchmark the 7950 should be 5-10% faster than the listed figures.

Theres not a massive difference between the two cards with the 670 being slightly faster.

How it will affect your case is about heat and where it goes rather than temperature. The 7950 and 670 consume about the same amount of power going by that anandtech comparison and so release about the same amount of heat, the 7950 you have chosen dumps most of the heat into the case though whereas the 670 pushes it out of the case.

Sounds like the 670 might be the better option in terms of where the heat is going. Hope its worth the money :)

huge difference but im sure the windforce can be had for that type of money?

670 windforce? I have to be careful of the size of the card to make sure it fits. The windforce is £340 + pp, way to much at around £300 im pushing more than I should.
