i have a friend who as been building a cheap system for playing games @1080
he was looking at use card on an auction site for around the £100 ish mark as he like the way my card(7950) plays the type of games he will be playing.
but i have just seen a b-grade 760 got £130 what would be the better option.

7950 or 760.

lots of benchmark site say the 760 is better but then they all go no to say you should buy a 7950

7950 is the all round better card, though they're fairly close performance wise. I'd go for the 7950 purely for the fact it's slightly faster, has more vram + a higher memory bandwidth and possibly better overclocking potential due to having voltage control.

Whilst that is a very decent 760, (one of the best coolers you can get) id give it a miss. The 760 isnt as good even as the older gtx 670 that it replaced in nvidias lineup.

si your saying a 760 that is faster then the 7950, is not as fast as a 670.
sooooo and 670 would be a better choice?
