whats the Best waterblock for a Asus Top 7950 pretty sure its pcb is exactly the same as reference except the size of the cooler ofc

http://www.overclock.net/t/1255376/...-fullcover-waterblocks-for-amd-hd7970-roundup
i had this review comparison saved in my fav list for a while now but there are a few more blocks i've seen since then that could be better i find there is a lot for the 7970 that would possibly fit the 7950 too but they don't state it in the info on retailer sites :(

Alphacool NexXxoS ATXP ATI 7970/50 series V2 - Polished - Copper being one of them the internal design looks like it would give a good flow rate and maybe better performance than the others in the above test but i cant find any reviews and i would be after a back plate too for that classy look and extra passive cooling :p

yeah i know it takes the ek block (there site compatibility info is very handy) but but there far from the best block available it seems

If the shape of the other blocks look similar to the EK varient then I would say it'l fit.

EK say the 7950 DCUII-TOP uses a full reference PCB, so any waterblock stated to fit on a reference 7950 will fit on this card.

Whats wrong with ek 7950 water block ?? I got one recently it does the job pretty good !!

Could you do a bf 3 benchmark with your HD7950 at those clocks and post the results?
How much voltage are you giving the card and what temps are you getting?

Sorry for hijacking the thread

Im giving the card 1.187v the power limit in msi after burner is set to the max 20% (this gives a huge fps gain on its own and the gpu usage is constantly higher in the graph well worth it) 1100 core and 1450mem, manually set fan speeds it usually goes to 80% fan while i game and keeps the card at 54c average and a peak of around 71c at certain points in different games never above 75c yet which is anoying tbh because i have room for more overclocking heat wise but the card just wont take any more voltage and core increase it gets up to 1200 core on 2.1V but its not stable enough for games it randomly locks up so i just backed it off until stable tested on max payne 3, BF3, crysis 1, saints row 3, and Deux Ex all perfectly playable = ) theres no point giving a benchmark as my cpu is causing crazy bottlenecking for example crysis on max settings 1920x1080 i got 5fps on the first cut scene of the plane and para shoot scene with my card in my friends pc it was 70-80fps and even in heaven the gpu score was much better in his pc with a i7 at 4Ghz+ so you can see what my next purchase is going to be lol!

@ Lord there's nothing wrong with EK but other blocks are better for around the same price so i want to make sure i get the best one possible ek is just easy to get hold of from most E tailers in the uk

Ticonderoga they are in OCUK heaven scores. Best score from single 7950 on the board :) 2065-2085 depends on run.
Carl-Brit Better how ?? In last few hot days it my gpu maxed out at 51c while playing BF3 ultra 3d. I would say thats damn good for single loop XSPC :D
