7950 Windforce 3X vs Twin Frozr III for noise

Hey all

Would someone be able to tell me which is quieter between the gigabyte 7950 windforce 3X and the msi twin frozr iii model? Will they both be fairly noisy under load? If either of these aren't suitable which would people recommend? I don't wanna go for the HIS one so this is out the question

Judging by the recent string of high temps and noisy fans on the TFiii best to go for the WF3, which people on here have said is v quiet.

Isn't the gigabyte voltage locked? Msi arn't

The WF will be quieter. The Tf will still be quieter than a reference card though.

I recently got a TFIII but only found out about the problems after it had been dispatched. I got a decent one though, can't really hear it and temps are around 68c.

I had both and the WF has bigger fans, cools faster and puts out less noise. So yeah the WF is an alround better card imo.

I may add that thr TF idles at 30% and the WF at 40% fan speed also which is kinda dumb imo.

Yeah it's really quite under 60% fans. There was just a dodgy batch with some thermal paste issues. The good ones are great.
