just got my 7950 win 3 rev 2.0 Fx1 bios i flashed to F43 but still cant control voltage in msi afterburner , in gigabyte guru utility i can just lower it but not increase it.

anyone know whats up with it.

Yeah could do. Or you could push the clocks and then try pulling back the voltage to see if it handles the same.

My xfire 7950 W3 get quite hot. Well the primary one does.

running 1200 core 1500 mem , how do i unlock msi afterburners sliders ?

If your memory is artifacting at 1550, probably it is not running ok at 1500, maybe the ECC is fixing the error but it is costing you performance.

run the same benchmark twice at 1500 and twice at 1450 and see if the 1450 gives you better performance.

cant see any difference from 1450 to 1500 i guess ill stick with 1450 then.

ty

not bad for a 169 £ card from ocuk b grade section :)

if your case has side fan options, i highly recommend you install a good 140mm fan as an exhaust since the W3 cards exhaust straight to the side panels (make sure you have decent intake too).

I did this with my R4 the other days and its made a huge difference to my system temp. All GC hot air is exhausting now keeping my system & PCH temp at ambient :)

Sadly I don't I might have to get a more powerful front case fan to move the air around in the case.

I'm browsing the web and my main card it 50c and fan at 30%.

i wanted to be able to lower the voltage from 1.25v on my wf3 so i installed guru but the voltages arnt high lighted and read as 0.000 :(

yea i can't lower voltage as well ,also figure out doesn't like 1200 on core so stuck with 1150 and memory was fine and increased performance till 1650 then crashed so running 1600 .

card is pretty cool to idle 28 , full load or playing metro or running loops of benchmarks around 65 c

thats a good one, mine will crash on heaven with core higher than 1125 or memory higher than 1470 and idles @ 38-40c, i run mine at 1050/1350 24/7.
i had a spring clean of my case fans today though.. i was reaching 74c in heaven but now it tops out at 68c
