Is it possible to run dual 7950 together and have the ability to use 3+ monitors, the reason im asking is, I now have a pair of spare LCD's and currently running dual screen on my 7950 single card. If i purchased a new one, can i add the other 2 monitors to my setup.

I do a lot of design work and this wuld considerably increase work area.

Thnks

yer, so basically, with dual 7950 it will work.. cool.. Next question, i have a 7950X2 GTX, can i upgrade with any 7950 or do i need the exact same card to run opposite this one.

Finaly Question is, how are the new 8800's running compared to the 7950 as if there is a huge difference then mabe its worth upgrading.

First there is no such thing as that card, i cant even work it out myself as the 7950gx2/7950gt/7900gtx are all different cards. (do you have one gx2 or two?)

8800's are much faster than any last generation card, around twice as fast.

If you want the ability to run 3 screens and have the power of your 7950gx2, then may i advise an ati pci/pci-e card, so you can still run games in sli and have your monitors on the ati card working independently from the nvidia card.

sorry, i have the gx2 card. miss type there..lol

Im not really after it for games, as atm, I can play most games fine on my GX2, with it set to dual monitors, (i only play WOW and Eve-O)..

What im looking for is, more work space for graphics work, maya studio max and after effects.

Not really in the market to buy dual 8800 atm though. .

If you just want 2 extra monitors, then I'm pretty sure you can use a cheap PCI card to run them & save yourself some cash. Not 100% on this though, so wait for others to confirm.
He, 3DS max with 4 monitors, that would be kind of nice. I use Cinema 4D & adding a second monitor was great - one monitor for time-line & the other for view-port :p

You cant run quad sli on four monitors. You either run in multi gpu or multi display mode not both.

Both cards need the same bios to run together iirc.
