Hi,
I bought a HIS 7950 iceq boost 3gb recently.
I am about to upgrade my system to this with HIS 7950 iceq boost 3gb and PSU to Corsair pro series HX 850 "80 gold.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=FS-374-OE

I was going to addthe card to this HIS i already have so I can go Xfire,
The extra cost of adding these into the system is approx £140

I dont really want to get involved with oveerclocking, I think I am to stupid (maybe I could learn later on )

Questions are, will this be a plug and play when I recieve new system?

Also would this be a good move, or should I be looking at a more recent card, since prices seem to be tumbling for the high end R290/780 series.

Hope you can advise

Barry

Same here. I have Crossfire msi r7950 twin frozr iii Love em. Titan killer for 1/2 the price.
Just remember to uninstall drivers before you put the 2nd card in. download drivers, diconnect from internet. install cards I did it the hard way!

Similiar route to what I asked only yesterday. I was advised that your processor may bottleneck the xf cards and I am running a 2500k @ 4.2, apparently the i7 is what is ideal for the job. Out of interest what cpu are u running ?
Ultimately I am going to go xf for now and look to upgrade cpu in a month or so hoperully.
