I've had my laptop since February, and have noticed very recently (last month or so) that the GFX is throttling @ 70c - this results in a lagfest as it downclocks itself, and it's particularly helpful when playing online! :(

Anyone else had this problem, and what did you do to get round it/solve it? I'm wondering if its the later nVidia drivers I've been using - a "feature" they've introduced

Does it do this with the original drivers? I always thought the temperature to throttle at was set in the graphics bios.
My 7800 started to do it a while back, it required some arctic silver to get it's act together as the standard paste that was used was a shocking mess.

Ops, that might've helped in the OP. Currently using 169.02 from www.LaptopDriver2Go.com with the modded INF.

EDIT: The original drivers are 84.xx, and thus not much good in any recent games, or Vista!
Not much chance of me reapplying paste as I can't open the laptop without invalidating the warranty
