Is this true...did they just slap 2 7900gt's together for the 7950gx2, or is it 2 79800gtx's with lower core/memory speeds to help heat dissipation. If that is the case, I can't see it overclocking much. You also need an sli mobo to just run 1x7950gx2, but at least from what I have read the power consumption is less then a 1900xt-x, so 2 GX2's will run handily in SLI with a Antec NeoHE 500, or Enermax Liberty 600w. Pity the drivers don't support quad sli yet, and everyone will be cpu limited.

Anyone out there planning on chucking their nvidia sli setup for one of these, or is everyone holding out for DX10 cards ??

They aren't exactly dual 7900GTX's but they aren't dual 7900GT's either.

They have G71M cores, which run at 500mhz, so somewhere in between really.

It's two NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX's slapped together. They have gone with a dual mobile chip setup. This allows them to offer them at a reasonable price and with reduced heat/power load.
