7950GX2 - only 1 bridge connector- problem ?

I read this review on TomsHardware

if you want to go Quad SLi when the drivers support it, do you think only having 1 bridge connector will affect the performance, the 7900GX2 has 2 bridge connectors apparently.

The 7950GX2 just has a different arrangement of bridges, with the 2 PCBs that make up the single 7950 being bridged to each other, then you can bridge between two 7950s.

I think the 7900 GX2 had a similar bridge between the two halves of the card. However, I seriously doubt that having just one SLI bridge will cause problems. I'm sure Nvidia intended to allow end-users to set up quad SLI using a pair of 7950 GX2 at some point.

Just having a look at the review at Tom's Hardware, which makes a few comments about the SLI bridge differences between the 7900 GX2 and 7950 GX2. They say there is a theoretical difference in bandwidth, with the 7900 GX2 clearly having more, but that the difference in terms of performance won't be known until Nvidia release Quad SLI drivers.
