7950GX2 or 3870 ??

Please help i've seen these cards both roughly the same price but which one is better.??

I know the 3870 is DX10 but im not bothered too much about that for now..

3870 again... in part as it doesn't rely on sli to get decent performance (which from memory the 7950 does). Plus from memory it is a faster card than the 7950 anyway.

yeah 3870 is better, never mid the power consumption of the 7950gx2...

Agreed - having had both a 7950GX2 and 3850 i can say the ATi card uses less power and is slightly faster. Plus there's no SLi to worry about!

So is the 8800GTX but its still top of the pile (ignoring the Ultra simply as its a overclocked GTX).

But yes I would take a HD3870 over a 7950GX2 anyday.

3870 has no reliance on SLI and puts up better performance in crysis... that aside tho they are pretty much matched for performance in all other aspects...
