7950GX2 Problems in Oblivion

A friend of mine has just put together a new system with an E6600, 2GB PC6400 DDR2, an Asus P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe motherboard and an XFX 7950GX2 (lucky sod ;)). Unfortunately Oblivion doesn't appear to be working with HDR enabled - the screen goes black except for the HUD and menus, which work as expected. With HDR off the game runs fairly well.

Does anyone know anything about this issue? We've tried the latest drivers (including the 92.91 betas) without success. On my own machine with a 7900GTX I've never seen this problem, so I'm guessing it might be SLI-related. Any info welcome as always :)

As he got AA enabled? As AA and HDR doesn't work together in Oblivion on nvidia cards.

Not sure if that would cause this particular problem though.
 
Does sound like an AA problem,is he forcing on it through the drivers ? As said above,you cant either have HDR enabled or AA with Nvidia cards on oblivion,not both though

Although AA was definitely off in the game, I'll check it now in the nvidia control panel - thanks for the suggestion; it hadn't occurred to me.

EDIT - We've just set it to None in the nvidia control panel but it doesn't appear to make any difference - the screen either goes black or a weird sort of mid-grey colour when HDR is on. The game is patched up and otherwise works fine.
