7950X3D as good as 7800X3D for games now?

The reviews seem to think that the reason the 9950X3D matches the 9800X3D in gaming is because the scheduling issues are a thing of the past with the new chipset drivers.

Just wondering if that translates to the 7000 series CPUs too? Anyone seen any recent tests or carried out their own?

Thinking about treating yourself?

Still seems to have some inconsistency between the 7950X3D and 7800X3D:

The extra TDP is probably a factor in allowing the 9950X3D to maintain boost clocks.

9950X3D - 180W vs 7950X3D/7800X3D and 9800X3D all 120W.

I can't see how Homeworld would perform that poorly on a 7950x3d versus a 7800x3d. I have to assume the driver really isn't working correctly for it there since it's got comparable performance to the 7950x instead, suggesting it's just using the wrong CCD.

I know from experience Cyberpunk is one of the few games I can get better performance by messing with process lasso, there isn't very many games where that's the case, so I think that probably explains the 7950x3d discrepancy there.

It's weird that those kinda driver issues are fixed on the 9950x3d but not the 7950x3d though, I wonder why.
