Hi guys.

I'm a bit thick and I'm after some help. I don't even know if this is possible, like I said I'm clueless.

Right I have a 7970 in my media / gaming pc. I have it hooked up to my ancient plasma in 720p via hdmi and I also have it connected to my new 1080p monitor via dvi.

If I have both display devices attached it defaults my monitor to a tiny pic on the screen.

Is there any way that I can set up custom resolutions or profiles for each display?

Many thanks for your help.

use "extend desktop" rather than "duplicate desktop".

Duplicate will default both to the lowest resolution supported by both.

Will you be using both screens simultaneously, or just one or the other at a time?

Edit:
You can use "windows key" + "p" to bring up a dialog to choose how you want screens to work.

I hoping to be able to use both screens at the same time.

tried the extend desktop idea but it wouldnt alter the res on the monitor. it said 1080p but the pic was very small.

anymore help??
