30% faster than the model it's replacing sound about right, as for price point it about the same as any new card. Price will plumit after launch to slightly lower than the card it's replacing as always happens

I just want the midrange cards to hurry up so I can replace my interim 4850

And only people with more money than sense would think with the likelihood of price premium of extra £100 or more in price is a non-issue.

I see your point but what else can you do? A 7970 3Gb is well worth the extra £40 over the GTX580 3Gb, if you need that kind of fire power and don't want to go the crossfire SLI route what can you do?

İ paid £350 for my gtx-3gb, near £500 for a 7970 would be an utter **** take by comparison... but if it does come out at say 400 and it does force down the price of the 580-3gb then alls the better for my sli plan

Except back in 2006~2007 the world wasn't in global economic crisis/recession like it is now...people can't even go into work without worrying about being laid off.

and the disabled being made to go to work when there is no jobs to start with
