7970 bios Q

Hi all,

just wondering if I can flash my HIS 7970 with my Gigabyte 7970's bios.

the HIS is a GHZ edition and the gigabyte is an early rev 1 with a low stock voltage [1.175]. but unfortunately afterburner wont talk to it only HIS's own oc program will and for some reason the max MVDDC [mem voltage] I can set on the HIS card is 1.575 causing it to spack out at 1700mhz whereas the gigabytes mem voltage happily sits at 1.670 for 1700mhz

also hopefully flashing the gigabyte bios to the HIS card will enable Afterburner to control it.

If both cards reference than I can't see why not. If they use different PCBs then definately not.

No idea what the max memory OC you can get at the lower voltage but not sure the gains are going to be worth the hassle.
