What would you guys recomend, I'll be picking something up next month or get someone to buy me it for my birthday :P

I would prefer a copper block as they look ten times more sexy, but on ocuk they only have nickel :(

You could... *shock horror* buy one from another store!!! ;)

Is it a reference design 7970? If so you can pick and choose from the manufacturers, aquacomputing do a nice copper block as do Watercool Heatkiller..

Aquacomputer block is around £77 and the Heatkiller around £82 or you could go with the EK copper plexi which approx £67 ish (old design) or £73 for the new dimpled circles look (CSQ) design.

Which block are you looking at? The only copper ones that are plexi I know of are the EK ones... all the other blocks on OCUk that aren't EK and copper are generally concealed in acetal. And why get copper if your not going to see it anyway?

So you don't have to deal with tatty looking nickel flaking off all over the inside of your loop? :)

They should carry the Aquacomputing blocks but they are either out of stock or they havent got any in yet :)

Typical xD stock moves so damn fast it is actually surprising (at least in a few things) like the compressions I need (well just the 1 now... But its stopping me going further w/ my build :c)

Sometimes you just have to get the bits you need from wherever you can, it could be weeks before stuff comes into stock, I've even had to order direct from the manufacturer sometimes because no-one has stock in the UK or Europe.

From another store? you mad? :p

Na, i will have a look about. I think there was a review for the aquacomputer 7970 block in the last issue of custom PC, they also had another one aswell, the watercool heatkiller GPU-X3 7970 block (bit of a mouth full). Both of which you can see the copper, which i think looks awesome.

Well I can hold out till mid september to see if there is any chance of OCUK stocking them. Let us prey! :p
