Hi...
I myself have a MSI R7970 Lightning Boost and wanted to run a CF set up.
But I can't find any MSI Lightning available anywhere in the UK (JUST missed the ones in OcUK).

Do you reckon OcUK will stock the lightning boost again or should I choose another to CF with the Lightning?
If so.. which one should I take?
I have having Sapphire Vapor-X in mind but might ask the pros before I make the decision :)

I think the lighting boost is no longer produced by MSI so you're probably better off going with an alternative 7970 and clock matching. That won't be a problem whatever 7970 you get providing you use reasonable clock speeds.

If you are watercooling go for a reference board. The MSI 7970 OC is pretty good value at the mo. I'd avoid it if not w/c though, as the stock fan is quite noisy.

4 months with the ref cooler? :p

Keep it below 60% and you're golden. :)

Or you can use a pair of these and look like a Gangsta while you frag!

But there is watercooling panel designed for them in the market right?
I'm sure the OcUK build their Corsair 900D with three lightnings watercooled lately...

Yes there are a few waterblocks for various lightnings. I know EK made one for the 7970 but beyond that I have no idea. (People suggest reference because all the watercooling companies make blocks for them)
