7970 connected to iMac 27" display

Currently got a 6970 connected to my 27" iMac display via MiniDP and I'm about to upgrade to a 7970 - anyone tried any of those cards with the iMac MiniDP - I know the plain Sapphire works but wondered about any of the other cards.

Only reason I ask is there was a problem with older 6000 series cards where they wouldn't work. Would you recommend a Sapphire over an MSI card?

No. Sapphire have a poor RMA support and MSI/Gigabyte have a good rep. I tend to stick with AIBs who offer a quick turn around, as the last thing I want is to be without a computer for a while.
