7970 "grinding"

AMD 7970 less than a month old, no problems so far, no temp problems. But as I was just testing a few things in MSI Afterburner I gradually upped the fan speed to 80% (anything below this is fine) and there was a grinding sound all of a sudden.

Pretty sure It's coming from the GPU, is there a history of this problem with this card? The noise is interrupted if I give the tower a little love tap.

Any idea's?

But is the fan bearing making noise at higher speeds making the
"grinding" type noise do you think?

My Gigabyte 7970 windforce "grinded" above 60% fan speed. Turned out it was the shroud catching the fan so I sent it back

Gigabyte seem to have a knack for using crappy fans.
