7970 issues

Hi,

Have you overclocked your 7970 at all? Also - what are the temps when you're playing?

My old GTX 570 had similar problems to you when it was overheating, but it hasn't happened at all with my 7970.
 
On my old laptop I had the same graphics distortion. Triangles popping up out of textures. I sent my laptop back, It had an onboard ATI 2600 HD and it turned out the graphics chip on the board was faulty.
 
upping the volts a little also seems to have fixed it just play a 4000ticket metro game with no problems thanks for the replys!
