anyone else had this.

when i turn the monitor off and then on i get fuzzy red artefacts all over the screen.

a restart fixes this but it happens each time i switch the monitor off then of

Lot's of problems with these cards i would RMA it and get something else
The matrix does appear in a lot of threads but it is a very popular card and people always post more when their is an issue than when they are happy. So maybe it creates a false impression on how bad those cards are.
It does sound like it could be a faulty card though lol

the thing is everything else if fine so i dont really want to rma it.

does anyone know of a fix for this.

artefacts if the wrong word maybe. it is like a fuzzy haze over the screen like static interference.

I had this with my 5870.

Change your monitors display input to something different, then put it back to what ever you're using.

So if you're on HDMI currently > on the monitor select DVI or w/e > Let the black screen "no input detected" > Then Select HDMI again.

It's the only work around I found at least.

Yer its most likely a problem with that monitor and HDMI. That's the exact monitor I had the issue on as well.

I remember I looked around for quite a bit to try fix it and came up with nothing. Windows 7 updates pick up the relevant driver for the monitor btw.

But yer as I said I think you will just have to live with the work around of switching device inputs.
