just wondered if anyone with one of these and a RIVE, have you hotwired??? any voltage increase over normal software? any other advantages???

I think it just gives you voltage control via the motherboard bios, would suspect it still has the same 1.4v limit.
If you're looking for some new 7970's nick with decent voltage control, snap up one of the MSI OC reference cards as you'll be WC'ing anyhow, the very least you should get is 1.38v/1.8v over core and memory.

thx paul, not sure if it would be worth it for the very small voltage bump.
