7970 or the R6280

Hi all

Looking to upgrade my GFX card, and now AMD have these new cards out I just don't know what the best bang for buck is any more. Why are their so many to choose from. Also will my current PSU be able to handle these new power hungry cards.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The 280x is a rebadged 7970, your best bet is to go with the Asus 7970 matrix @£222(less than 30 left).

Cool was just unsure with 8 pin connectors as I thought mine came with 6 pin. Will order one now. Thanks for the help guys

Is the PSU black and red? If its the same one I've had for the past 5 1/2years(well currently not being used), it has 2x 6+2 pci-e connectors. In terms of the wattage and connectors it'll be fine, I'm no expert so not sure about the amps wise.
