I have 2 SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3GB OC with Boost Edition cards setup in Eyefinity mode with crossfire enabled and in games everything is fine and smooth but when I am in windows desk top the right side monitor has screen tear on it.

I am running windows 8.1 64 bit and I am on the 14.4 AMD driver.

Any idea's ??

After some more digging around AMD's site reports this as a known issues when using Display port to DVI timing issue and there is no fix other than to connect the DP connection to a monitor with a DP connection on it ....

I have confirmed that I only get this on the screen with the active display port adapter on it when in Eyefinity mode.

Are they planning to fix it?

Not that I can see ... it is an odd one as I don't get it at all in games on a single screen or when in Eyefinity mode with my 3 screens I only get it on the right hand screen in windows when in Eyefinity mode, normal windows mode with 3 screens is perfect.

I am now looking at creating desktop configs and see if I can have the Eyefinity setup as a selectable option in the AMD Catalyst control centre that WAY I CAN JUST SWITCH TO Eyefinity when playing games.

This is a link to the AMD page :-

I'd had this using a 5770 display post to display port on the centre monitor, was a driver issue, unintelligible and reinstalling the latest resolved, try the beta drivers via a clean install
