Hi Guys

I currently still have an HD5850 which I have had for 2 1/2 years now. Whilst playing BF3 CQ I have noticed the GFX struggling on "indoor" maps. Especially the underground car park. Panning left and right seams to be sluggish and a struggle. I play on a 24" 1980 x 1200 monitor in High.
Think the time is coming to upgrade my GFX. Bought the HD5850 due to performance and low power at the time. But have always preferred Nvidia.

7970 seem really good value at the moment. But what about the 670 ?
Which is the better performer?

The 7970 is faster. But it's only really if you overclock it that it's clearly faster. Otherwise it's a bit muddy and unclear.

Basically while at maximum overclock the 7950, 670, 680, 7970 are all within about 10-15% of each other.

You're not talking massive margins here.
