7970 vs 670

It maybe a bit early to tell , But whats the opinion between these two , Was about to order a new card to upgrade my 6970 twin fozr , but this has put a spanner albeit a good one in me plans , Which card between

Ill"d like to really have a choice with a 680 version as well , but how long that may be i dont know ?

so these cards have just re addressed the old balance on the new platform , 570=6970 - 670=7970 , but improved to be considered an upgrade than just a newer model . , Either one Should I be expecting 50% gains over the 6970 ?

Hmm the gigabyte one im looking at 980MHZ i assume is overclocked then , The 6970 is already overclocked to to 1000MHZ but has excellent temps in reviews , To early to know on this 670 i guess , My order finger is getting itchy , watching the mins tick by for next day delivery .

Delaying my order now , but im slightly going full circle back to the 7970 just edges it , from one review site here , im seeing that these are 680"s but lesser binned , whilst if you were to buy an overclock 6970 your going to get the cherry pick of the bunch just the same if you was to go 680 premium overclocked card, My order of choice , 670-7970-680 though the differences are tight
