7970 vs nvidia

Ok I've pretty much set my heart on a pair of msi lightning 7970 watercooled but I need to settle the nagging doubt in my head haha

Would nvidia 680 make a huge difference for gaming considering they have phyx?

Please help me stop being a noob haha

Physix is overrated, but I may be biased, Borderlands 2 uses it but you can still use it but it uses your CPU instead.

Depends on the games, Physix on some games aint that impressive. Whereas on BL2 i wish i had a rig with Nvidia in just to have it on (come on you 670s! reduce in price!)

Regarding 7970 vs 680, check out the benchmark thread, would give you an idea how each card preforms in each game (some of the results are using older drivers though, the new ones seem to be golden)

I believe ill stick with the 7970s thank you for helping me keep sane would hate to spend so much money and not strive for the best

Why you need 2x? If your going for that kinda spend id rather hold out until after xmas its nearly 700 quid!!

I agree that physx is nothing special. Border lands two is a comic style graphics game i doubt there's much physx in that. My bro plays it with a 580 and i can't see anything amazing?

Bezelless( or micro bezel) are ridiculously expensive still

Managed to get them for £150 a piece friend of a friend of a friend does somthing with acer.

As soon as I get the 7970s and leak tested ill post all the pictures this website can manage
