7970 W/C to a 290X W/C?

On water I would say it's worth it as you can clock the 290x decently....

If you are going to make the move sooner or later, now will be the time. Resale price of 7970 is at its highest for a long time. This mining business has pretty much guaranteed the same or high prices for the 290x for the upcoming months.
You could buy 290x and mine a while until you feel it isnt worth the effort and then sell the 7970.
Normally i would suggest grabbing another 7970 but they are hard to find and impossible to get at a normal price.
