7970

This one.

I have it, check my review i posted. These cards have a good rep for being decent clockers according to reviews.

However the His one might have a better cooling solution.

The 7970 reference cooler is meant to be really good anyway. Also exhausts hot air instead of just blowing it into the case, so should lower case temps for some people. I haven't found any non stock cooling that is actually silent anyway, I have the VTX3D 7970 got it for £300 the cooler is OK, just not that quiet.

How would another 7850 to join your current one compare?

I'm looking at a triple monitor setup at 1920x1080 with hopefully over 120 fps in MW3 and BF3. I'm expecting to have to Xfire the 7970 to achieve that.

If you run full ultra expect dips below 120fps even with 2x7970.

Full ultra on bf3 is a bitch.

I can just about stay above 60fps with a single 7970 @ full ultra except on intensive bits when it drops to 50-55fps.

I use an fps limit (via a user.cfg file in the bf3 root directory) of 62 (less screen tearing with 62 as opposed to 60. Why? No idea) with vsync disabled, and for the most part it never budges from 62.

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7970 IceQ X² 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H797QM3G2M) with FREE Sleeping Dogs PC Game £317.99
Total : £328.79 (includes shipping : £9.00).

Wins simply because it's custom cooled, being cheaper than the rest is a bonus too.

Got this one last week, its by far the quietest / coolest GPU i've had, (previously had twin fan'ed Sapphire 6970 and VF3000 cooled 5870 and VF3000 cooled His 6970)

Have only OC'd it to CCC limits using Power + 20% and its absolutely fine, temps rarely crack 50 degrees. Quite amazing compared to my previous cards.
