Hello

Have a HIS ICEQ 7970 that comes with the default bios at 925 / 1375

and a MSI Lightning 7970 default at 1070 / 1400.

Should i update the HIS bios to the ghz edition, although that makes it 1000 /1500 i think, or can i try saving the MSI bios and using that so they are on the same bios.

Not having problems persay, but i presume it would make overclocking a bit easier if they are in Sync ? Would like to try upping the voltages to get some decent memory overclocks.

Both running currently at 1100/ 1500 with +20 on the power thingy.

Thanks

You can just do what the GHz bios is doing in Afterburner on the first card.

The overclocking won't be easier if they're in sync - each will have its own limit.

Right lovely thanks

Its not overly clear but other news posts suggests that the standard ATI ghz bios gives some better power control, but not sure if the HIS is the reference design, will try tomorrow.

Find out what each cards limit is, this will give you an idea, but they won't necessarily clock to the lowest cards clocks in CrossFire mode though, better off dropping the clocks a touch for stability.
