7990 DEVIL 13 V 690

Seems like a good honest review, they have a £1000 card given to them but they were quite prepared to tell the reader that there were inconsistency issues with the software that supports such an expensive product.

What would worry me about buying such an expensive card is who is going support it? Previously AMD could write drivers to fix issues on specific cards including their dual chip boards but these 7990's aren't official AMD products and have been left up to the board partners to design. That would make a bit nervous.

What would worry me about buying one is that this is the second review I have seen where they have been supplied with a broken card. This does not bode well for long term reliability. If AMD had officially backed and produced a reference HD 7990 I would feel a lot more comfortable buying that.

it was a $1000 card, £800! Also hello i live in Chelsmford!

I can understand the appeal of one card as i thought it would have less crossfire problems, but this looks like it still has problems. I think if i was ever to go crossfire i would get 2 of the cards i already have. Works out about £100 cheaper.
