It is what I would say too

If you really want to try dual GPU card, consider the following;

1. 7990 has 3GB per GPU. Better at larger res, 2560x and above
2. 690s drivers are pretty evolved now

Well I've got 2x6990's and never looked back mate, go for it... serious power!

I'd get 690, drivers are a lot more advanced since it's been out longer in market. Also 7990 isn't officially supported by AMD and from what i've heard driver support is next to none.

Reviews on hexus show incredible speeds in pretty much anything apart from Crysis 2... personally I think it looks like it could rock!

And you can pick it up for £639! That's a lot of power and fantastic value for money and it clocks well!

Just saw a competition for a free 7990 while was looking at prices you posted lol. Maybe Il win it and can review it for you lol.

Up to 2560 x 1600 go for a GTX 690 above that resolution go for the HD 7990.

If you are never going to use more than 2 GPUs, 2 single cards are the better option.
