Yeah i know... I actually drove it home about 40 miles... Was a nice car to drive... I was actually quite impressed... Didnt give me the kick or the funness of my 200SX but i was indeed happy and enjoyed driving it... If i was after that type of car i would buy one without a doubt...

How 'nippy' do you want it to be? One persons nippy is anothers slow/fast :)

For something that's nippy, not fast, low ins etc I'd be looking at a Cooper, how much are the new shape Swift Sports available for now as they are good fun cars that won't break the bank.

All the hot hatches mentioned will be pricier on insurance but still won't break the bank, I've found the 172 to be cheap on insurance (but I'm becoming an old git now), good on fuel and cheap to run.

Unquestionably, I'd have another mid 90s Corvette C4. An LT1, so 300BHP and with the 6 speed ZF box.

Next question!

Toyota Celica vvti 140

Toyota reliability, 02/03 year, 140 bhp, 35 mpg average (manufacturer), but IG15 (depending on other factors, it can still be reasonable. 190bhp version IG16.

Why are people always recommending the MX5 instead of the MR2 ?

This MX5 is for sale 1 mile from me and i went to have a look, it was nice but i prefer the MR2 looks.

MX5 for sale near me:

MR2 (google'd):

You can get good examples of each for £7k. The MX5 above is £6500. 2001 and low milage and with a hard top.

Isn't that 156 one of the imported ones that never sold? Alfa imported a load of them and they were held in a port somewhere to be sold much later at a reduced price.
