Hi everyone,
I plan on adding a DPDT switch to my rig to switch my fans from 12v to 7v.
What I'm questioning is how many fans I could safely run off the 7v? Running purely off the 12v is not an issue, I know I can safely run 10+ fans at 12v off a single 12v rail.
To get 7v you run the 12v line and the -5v line to the fan but as I understand it you don't want to be pulling too many amps this way, is there a general rule of thumb as to how many fans / how many amps you can pull off the 7v line?
