.7z files

I understood that WinRAR would recognise and allow me to open .7z files.

My version of WinRAR does not. Have I been mislead, or do I need a newer version of WinRAR?

You could always just download 7-Zip and be done with it

But I think version 3 onwards of winrar recognises 7-zip files (I'm using latest 3.56 here)
