hey guys, just a quick question for anyone in the know. basically, i want to perform a presentation with the presentation on a projector but also cloned on the display of a laptop. thing is, i also want to be able to have a stopwatch app on the laptop screen.

thing is, if i clone displays it clones apps too, so the stopwatch is on the projector screen. if i extend displays the powerpoint can only appear on the projector and not the desktop.

is there any way to clone just the desktop tile? and then have apps seperate?

Sorry for the delay in reply.

In PowerPoint 2010 you need to enable presenter view manually. Set up your laptop and secondary monitor in "Extend mode" (WIN Key + P)

In PowerPoint click on the slideshow ribbon tab and then on the "Set up slide show" button. In the window there should be a checkbox labelled "Show presenter view". This gives you a presenter view with timer, notes etc.
