8 Gb DDR2 booting issues with Vista

Hi Guys,

Wonder if you could help.

Friend recently got some second hand compy parts which work fine but the chap has recently swapped out XP for Vista 64-bit and slung in another four gig of RAM (taking it upto 8) and the computer won't reboot unless you reset the CMOS every time! Just wondering why this is?

ok guys - thanks for the responses. Will give both memtesting & upping the voltage a mash & see what happens.
