Hi all,

Having never been to a TV recording before, does anyone know what to expect? It's on the 1st October.

Tickets are still available - and Free - Other dates too.

Also it's at the BBC Television centre, anyone know what tube goes there? :p

I've been to a few recordings, it's pretty fun but can get a bit boring sometimes when they keep doing the same take.

BBC TV Centre is right outside White City (Central Line), near the home of football. :D
 
Any idea on the average amount of time it takes to do? (Reason I ask is do I travel back the same day or stay in London and make a few days out of it :D )

Probably a couple of hours for that kind of programme assuming it's just one episode. The last one I went to see was that Jimmy Carr's Commercial Breakdown at Teddington studios. We didn't know and they were actually filming two episodes and we ended up being stuck in there for about 4 hours!
 
Lots of comedy panel shows can take a lot longer to film than they show; I've heard from a couple of people who have seen Mock The Week done that it takes almost 3 hours of filming to get enough material which is suitable for TV, and isn't just the panelists messing about.
 
Yea, its just one episode (its recorded weekly, as its the news for each week, which they use IIRC)

Do you know of any hotels/B&B's near the BBC Studio? I have found travelodge but its £82 for a double and same for a single (3 of us going.. me my other half and my mate)
