8 Pack Matching RAM?

Hi :)

There is a set of team group dark pro 3200 mhz on a competitor website (same kit as 8pack ram) but at 3200mhz which you can give a try.

From my experience, they're usually good kits and overclock to 3800mhz anyway so you should be able to run both at 3600mhz (and if not can always return).

The extra mhz isn't going to make a difference for editing anyway (few % in games depending on title but only if your cpu can handle it - 5xxx series).

Cheers, I'll have a look!

I'm glad you asked this as im in the exact same boat as you. I didn't know if to get the same RAM, replace or see if I can mix it up (Cities Skylines is the chrome of games, it really likes to eat RAM!)

Have you got 2x16GB or 2x8GB? 2x8GB is available if you look around...2x16GB not so much...

2x16GB currently, same as yours. I wish I added more to the original build, but really didnt realise how much RAM these games like once you start adding mods/assets.

So, im the same boat as to whether replace it all or mix it up.

FYI,
I bought some "cheap" 2x32 kit (Patriot Signature 64GB (2x32) 3200MHZ) to see what the difference would be, just to note. I wanted more RAM for Premier Pro / After Effect's.

I went from
2x16 8-Pack (3600 16)
to
2x32 (3200 22)

The 8-pack is on the left and the top for Horizon Dawn, obviously only my limited results, but not much difference...I've not done enough editing to make any judgments yet
