I apologise if this is a dumb question, not sure on this one.
My mobo has an 8 pin CPU header, i am currently only using 4 pins as i'm having to use an extension from my old rig. Am i doing any harm to my mobo or CPU by having only a 4 pin power plugged in? I've order an 8-pin extension from the rainforest in the meantime. My PSU does have an 8-pin CPU power plug but having to use an old extension as it's too short.
