What psu's support it? The enermax infinity & galaxy range has it and i saw on another forum, a corsair tech support mod posted this:

If you own one of our PSUs and you need an 8 pin PCI-Express power adapter, please email the Customer Service Group at the address below. Make your subject line "CORSAIR" to ensure that it gets through the SPAM filter.

The cable is free and you will only be charged shipping.
He provided an email after but obviously cant post that.

Its a lie. I saw the same post and sent the email requesting a cable and got told it was $30 to ship to the UK

lol ok so it isnt exactly free but it is genuine in the fact its corsair.

I have one and they are excellent - but in the box you don't get the 8-pin PCI Express cables...you get a PCI express cable that goes into the 8 pin socket on the PSU and then has 6 pin PCI-Express at the other end.

Nope you don't get an 8 - pin with them, but users who bought within a certain date range can get a free cable from listan who make the be-quiet power supplies.

8 pin just fits into a 6 pin socket, the two extra pins needed are just grounds which can be spliced into existing ground wires - which is probably what happens with the new cables you get sent.

Listan PR just let me know all new shipments of the Dark Power Pro now have the cable in the box - also new 1000w from them is out next month. I hope OcUK start to sell them soon.
